Patna, August 15: Bihar Chief Minister Smarat Choudhary participated in the flag-hoisting ceremony held at Mahadalit Tola in Nandwan village of Nandwan Panchayat under Dhanarua block in Patna district on the occasion of the 80th Independence Day. Mr. Choudhary extended heartfelt greetings and good wishes to the people of Bihar on the 80th Independence Day, saying that today is an opportunity to remember the countless freedom fighters who dedicated their lives to the country's independence. He said that the land of Bihar has also given many great sons who contributed to the country's independence and social justice, and paid tribute to all these freedom fighters.
The Chief Minister said it was a pleasure to attend the program organized on the occasion of Independence Day by coming to Mahadalit Tola in Nandwan. Mr. Choudhary said that an approval of Rs 12-12 lakh has been given for the construction of Anganwadi center and community hall in Mahadalit Tola, Nandwan. An amount of Rs 1.07 crore has been approved for the renovation of the playground of Nandwan High School. A plan of approximately Rs 2.50 crore has been approved for the construction of Panchayat Sarkar Bhawan and Rs 50 lakh for Kanya Vivah Mandap. Nandwan High School will be developed as a model school. He said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is continuously working to make India developed and strong. Former Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has also done several important works for the development and prosperity of Bihar. It is our duty to fulfill the dreams of both of them, and the state government is constantly striving for this. He said that the tricolor is not only a symbol of our independence and pride, but it also inspires us to always be aware of our duties. Today, along with political independence, let us also take a pledge that the light of development reaches every section of the society, especially the Mahadalits, Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, and the extremely backward classes, in an equal manner.
