Art and Culture Minister Dr. Pramod Kumar said that the National School of Drama (NSD) will be established in Patna or its vicinity. will The central government has approved it. Minister Dr. Kumar said these things while addressing a press conference held at the building premises of Information and Public Relations on Wednesday. He said that artists of the state had been demanding the establishment of NSD campus for many years. He personally discussed the issue with Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary. The Chief Minister then requested the Central Government to establish it in Patna. He further said that the state government has launched several schemes for the artistes of the state. Amrapali Training Centers will be established in all the districts of the state. Training centers have already been opened in many districts. Training in dance, music, musical instruments and other fine arts is being imparted by qualified instructors. So far around 3000 children have been trained in various art forms. The minister said that the rehabilitation of Golugharal in Patna will start soon. Its rehabilitation project will be started within two months. Actor Sunil Sethi met the Chief Minister and discussed making a film in Bihar. Further processing will be initiated on receipt of the application. The Art and Culture Minister said that the Mithila Chitrakala Sansthan in Madhubani has created a 108 meter long Mithila painting based on Ramcharit Manas. A film portal has been developed to facilitate and encourage film production in Bihar and promote the state as a film-friendly destination. To date, 862 artists, 148 producers, and 29 service providers have joined. It is creating a conducive and robust ecosystem for film production in Bihar. He said that as a result of effective implementation of Bihar Film Promotion Policy 2024, more than 59 projects (46 films, 2 web series and 11 documentaries) have been allowed to shoot in the state. A total of Rs 30.46 lakh scholarships have been awarded to 47 talented youth in the field of film and theatre. A comprehensive survey of manuscripts has been conducted in all the districts of the state, in which more than 8 lakh manuscripts have been identified so far, department secretary Parnu Kumar said. The construction of "Buddha Samak Darshan Museum-cum-Memorial Stoop" at the historical site of Vaishali at a cost of Rs 550.48 crore has been completed. A total of 35 posts on contract basis for operation and management of State Museums are in progress.
