Patna: (ABN) A continuous process of dialogue with representatives of circle officers and revenue officers who are on strike across the state is underway to address their grievances. Deputy Chief Minister and Minister of Revenue and Land Reforms, Mr. Vijay Kumar Sinha, said that so far, six rounds of talks have been held with their representatives to understand their issues and find a solution. He and Principal Secretary, C.K. Anil, made continuous efforts to find a solution. They emphasized that circle officers and revenue officers are an integral part of the Revenue Department family and addressing their difficulties is a top priority.
With this objective in mind, a detailed discussion was held with the representatives on Wednesday, which continued until 9:00 pm in the chamber of the departmental office. The Deputy Chief Minister clarified that the government is willing to seriously consider their legitimate demands. However, it is unreasonable to insist on demands that cannot be fulfilled due to official or policy-related obstacles. He stressed that no individual has the right to indulge in wrongdoing under the guise of any decision, and all actions must strictly adhere to established rules and regulations.
The Deputy Chief Minister remarked that some individuals are resorting to "pressure politics," which is not a viable path to a solution. He said that the tears shed by the public cannot bring happiness to anyone. He warned that waiting for a change in power in the state would prove to be a costly miscalculation. He reiterated that in the past, the government was formed by the National Democratic Alliance (NDA), today the NDA government exists, and in the future, the NDA government will continue to be in power.
He further stated that 589 revenue service officers are on duty and working actively. The government is extending full sympathy and cooperation to these officers who have continued to perform their duties. It is due to the efforts of such satisfied officers that public-related work has continued uninterrupted during this period. So far, 23,449 mutation cases, 96,469 premarginal (data creation) cases, and 14,220 digital land measurement cases have been successfully resolved. He appealed to the striking officials to participate constructively in the dialogue process to ensure the smooth execution of revenue-related work, which has a direct impact on the general public.
Issuing a final ultimatum, he said that those who return to work by Friday evening will not face any disruption in their services, and their promotion prospects will remain intact. However, those who do not return will have all hopes of leniency and promotion extinguished. He added that if necessary, the government will resort to recruiting new personnel to address the problems faced by the public.
