Tourist spots will be equipped with the latest facilities

Patna, July 26: (ABN) Under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Smarat Choudhary, the 15th meeting of the Bihar State Wildlife Council was held today at Sankalp Auditorium, Lok Sevak Awas, where important proposals related to wildlife conservation, eco-tourism, and green development were reviewed.
In the meeting, Anand Kishor, Additional Chief Secretary of the Department of Environment, Forests, and Climate Change, provided detailed information about various proposals related to the 15th meeting of the Bihar State Wildlife Board. Different proposals were discussed in detail regarding the conservation of wildlife in the state, expansion of nature-based tourism (eco-tourism), and strengthening environmental balance in the state.
During the meeting, the Chief Minister said that while promoting eco-tourism in Bihar, new opportunities for employment, investment, and local economic activities should be promoted along with wildlife conservation. He directed that all proposals be implemented in a timely manner and monitored regularly. He emphasized the need to prepare an action plan for running and maintaining various tourism projects using the PPP model.
To provide better facilities to tourists, commercial activities at tourist spots should be organized in a systematic manner, he said, adding that the promotion of modern facilities, hotels, restaurants, cafes, tracking, and adventure tourism should be done along with the implementation of all proposals in a timely manner.
The Chief Minister said that tourism projects should be promoted under the PPP model, and proposals that promote green energy should be given priority. An action plan should be prepared to promote potential investment in green energy for the promotion of eco-tourism in the Rohtas and Deoghar areas. Hotels, restaurants, and other tourist facilities should be developed in the areas surrounding the Punth area.
A comprehensive development plan should be prepared, considering trekking, excursion, adventure, and tourist safety in tourist spots and hilly areas. The protection of heritage and natural resources should be ensured by establishing better coordination between the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) and the Department of Environment, Forests, and Climate Change.
The Chief Minister said that Bihar is a state rich in natural, historical, and cultural heritage. The protection and development of these historical sites for tourism purposes is a priority for the government. This will provide employment opportunities for local people, encourage private investment, and establish a strong presence of Bihar on the national and international tourism map.
The meeting was attended by Environment, Forests, and Climate Change Minister Dr. Ramchandra Prasad, MLA Ms. Shalini Mishra, MLA Mr. Virendra Singh, MLA Mr. Babu Lal Shourie, Chief Minister's Principal Secretary Mr. Deepak Kumar, Chief Secretary Mr. Pritye Amrit, Additional Chief Secretary of the Department of Environment, Forests, and Climate Change Mr. Anand Kishor, Secretary of the SC, ST Welfare Department Mr. Sandeep Kumar, AR Padda Kati, Secretary to the Chief Minister Mr. Sanjay Kumar Singh, Principal Chief Conservator of Forests Mr. Arvind Singh, Director of Fisheries Mr. Tushar Singla, Director of Animal Husbandry Mr. Ajay Kumar Singh, Managing Director of Bihar State Tourism Development Corporation Limited Mr. Nand Kishore, and other senior officials of related departments, while members of the Bihar State Wildlife Council were connected through video conferencing.
