Patna: (ABN) Preparations have been completed to make the 'Har Ghar Tiranga Abhiyan 2026' a large-scale public movement to further intensify the wave of patriotism and national unity in Bihar ahead of Independence Day. Under the campaign, a grand 'Tiranga Yatra' will be taken out in Patna on August 10, which will be led by Chief Minister Smarat Choudhary. The yatra, starting from JP Golambar at 10 am, will go to Kargil Chowk, in which the participation of ministers, officers, and a large number of people is expected.
In this regard, Art and Culture Minister Dr. Pramod Kumar held a press conference and presented the details of the preparations and programs to be held across the state. He said that 'Har Ghar Tiranga' is not just a government program, but a celebration of national pride, unity, sacrifice, and public participation, whose purpose is to emotionally connect every citizen with the national flag.
According to the minister, on August 10, 2026, at 10 am, the Tiranga Yatra will start from JP Golambar under the leadership of Chief Minister Smarat Choudhary and reach Kargil Chowk. During the yatra, a message of patriotism and national unity will be conveyed along with the national flag. All ministers and senior officers will also be present in the program.
The minister said that the tricolor of India is a symbol of the sacrifice, struggle, patriotism, and national dignity of millions of Indians. The purpose of the 'Har Ghar Tiranga' campaign is to take this spirit to every home and every heart. A plan has been prepared for the effective implementation of the campaign in every district and block of the state. Under this, 4,000 national flags will be provided to each block. The supply of tricolors will be done through Jeevika.
Directions have been given to ensure the maximum participation of citizens at schools, colleges, government and public institutions, and other places. The minister informed that for the success of the program, a review meeting was held under the chairmanship of the Chief Secretary, in which the responsibilities of various departments were fixed. A joint inspection of the yatra route has been completed and barricading and decoration on the tricolor theme are being done on the entire route.
Security arrangements, including route checking, deployment of adequate police force and magistrates, traffic management, crowd control, and safe evacuation in case of an emergency, have also been made. Dr. Pramod Kumar appealed to the people of Bihar to participate in large numbers in the Tiranga Yatra on August 10 and play their role in making the 'Har Ghar Tiranga' campaign a public movement from August 9 to 17.
He appealed to the citizens to hoist the national flag with full respect at their homes, business establishments, and offices and especially appealed to the youth to play an active role in the campaign. He said that it is the collective responsibility of all of us to convey the message of respect for the national flag and love for the country to every section of society.
The minister also appealed to the media representatives to cooperate in taking the message of the 'Har Ghar Tiranga' campaign to the maximum number of people. He said that with the positive and active participation of the media, the campaign can be made more effective and public.
