US military's seventh consecutive night of aerial bombing on Iran, Iran also gave a befitting response

Awaz E Bihar•18 July 2026 at 03:45 pm•3 views•4 min read

US Central Command (Centcom) said the US military has completed a seventh consecutive night of airstrikes on Iran.
According to Centcom, during the operation, Iran's surveillance centers, military logistics, and underground weapon depots were targeted and destroyed. The US Central Command said fighter jets and drones were used in the operations, which were carried out on the direction of US President Donald Trump. Centcom added that a naval blockade of Iranian ports is also being strictly enforced. Centcom further said that more than 50,000 US military personnel are deployed in the Middle East and US forces are always on alert and ready for effective action.
On the other hand, Iran, in a retaliatory action, targeted US military installations in Kuwait, Bahrain, and Jordan, claiming to have caused heavy damage. The Revolutionary Guards said a US drone depot and artificial intelligence center in Bahrain were destroyed with ballistic missiles and drones. The US Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar was also targeted.
Kuwait's Ministry of Defense said Iranian missiles and drones targeted several military centers and key installations, resulting in multiple soldiers being wounded. A Kuwaiti Defense Ministry spokesman said the Iranian ballistic missiles and drones were destroyed in the air after being detected. Jordan said several missiles fired by Iran were intercepted.
According to Iranian authorities, an attack was carried out in Syria for the first time, and a US military command center was destroyed, while US bases in Kuwait, Qatar, Jordan, and Oman were also targeted. Iranian state media reported that the US launched a missile attack on the southern Iranian city of Ahvaz, while five explosions were reported in the central Iranian city of Yazd and the city of Sirik.
Meanwhile, the Iranian Navy claimed that a US ship was targeted with missiles in the Indian Ocean, after which the US ship was forced to retreat. The Revolutionary Guards released a video of tankers being targeted by drones in the Strait of Hormuz. Iranian state media reported that the relevant tanker had refused to comply with Iranian orders in the Strait of Hormuz.
Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi said three people were killed while crossing the Bandar Khamir bridge during the US attack. He said the civilians killed in the US attack were innocent and the blood of the innocent would not be shed in vain. Araqchi further said Iran would defend every inch of its territory until its last breath and the Iranian land would be protected at all costs.
According to Iranian media, Kuwait's Camp Arifjan, Ali Al Salem Air Base, and Arifjan Support Center were attacked, resulting in multiple soldiers being killed, while Jordan's Muwaffaq Salti (Azraq) Air Base was also targeted. The Iranian military said the Sheikh Isa Air Base in Bahrain was targeted by drone attacks, with the parking of US military planes, fuel storage facilities, and several bridges connected to the base being targeted.
The Revolutionary Guards claimed to have shot down a US MQ-9 drone near Bushehr, while a US naval ship was hit with a coastal-to-sea cruise missile in the northern Indian Ocean. The Revolutionary Guards also claimed to have stopped four US-backed naval ships in the Strait of Hormuz. Iranian media reported that two oil tankers caught fire after being hit by explosive mines south of the Strait of Hormuz.
On the other hand, the Jordanian army said it intercepted 10 missiles that entered its airspace during the Iranian attacks, while the Kuwaiti army also confirmed responding to Iranian missile and drone attacks for the second time. Air raid sirens sounded for the fourth time in Bahrain within a few hours.
