War will resume, a global clash will occur, Iran warns

Awaz E Bihar•19 April 2026 at 02:27 pm•3 views•5 min read

A senior Iranian military official has warned that if a war is reimposed on Iran, it could take the form of a major global war, whose effects will be felt beyond the region. Iranian Brigadier General Mohammad Reza said in a statement that the United States cannot eliminate Iran's missile manufacturing capability, Iran has strengthened its defense policy, and the country's military preparedness is ready to counter any possible threat.

Brigadier General Mohammad Reza said that Iran is continuously increasing its defense power and has the full capability to respond effectively to any potential aggression. If a war is imposed on Iran again, the response this time will be much more severe. He added that in recent months, Iran has made significant progress in modern missile technology and will use these missiles if necessary, which could lead to unexpected consequences for the enemy.

He said that Iran is strengthening its defense power and is ready to respond to any potential attack. He sent a strong message to the United States, saying that if a war is imposed on Iran again, the response will be more severe this time, and the newly developed missiles will be used.

It is worth mentioning that the United States and Israel launched a large-scale attack on Iran on February 28, after which Iran also took retaliatory actions. Tensions and clashes between the two sides continued for about 40 days, increasing fears of war in the region. Afterward, due to Pakistan's diplomatic efforts, the two countries agreed to a two-week ceasefire.

On April 11, talks were held in Islamabad between high-level delegations from the United States and Iran, which were seen as an important step towards reducing tensions. Analysts say that such statements from Iran reflect the increasing tensions in the region and that if diplomatic efforts fail, the situation could worsen.

Iran has made it clear that the Strait of Hormuz will not be reopened until the United States lifts the blockade of Iranian ports. This waterway is considered crucial for global trade and oil transportation. On the other hand, US President Trump has announced that the naval blockade will remain in place until an agreement is reached with Iran. He also said that the United States will not accept any kind of pressure or blackmail.

Meanwhile, tensions in the region increased when Israel launched an attack in southern Lebanon despite the ceasefire. Israeli authorities say they have established a new "yellow line," which they consider a security limit.

French President Macron has blamed Hezbollah for the killing of a French peacekeeper in Lebanon, but Hezbollah has denied the allegations.

Analysts say that the increasing tensions between Iran, the United States, and Israel pose a threat not only to the region but also to global economy and security, especially when a major waterway is blocked and negotiations are stalled.

In a statement, President Masoud Pezeshkian said that we do not intend to attack any country, we are exercising our legal and legitimate right to defend ourselves, our basic stance is based on protecting peace, stability, and security in the region, we do not want to escalate the war.

He said that we want to end the war with dignity, we did not start the wars or conflicts, we do not intend to attack any country, we are exercising our legal and legitimate right to defend ourselves. Masoud Pezeshkian said that Trump has no right to deprive the people of their rights, Trump has no right to say that Iran cannot benefit from its nuclear rights.

He said that the enemy has failed to achieve its objectives, the enemy has attacked infrastructure, schools, and hospitals, the statements about destroying Iranian civilization and sending it back to the Stone Age reveal the enemy's intentions.

Additionally, the head of the Iranian delegation, Bagher Qalibaf, said that progress has been made in negotiations with the United States, but there is still a long way to go.

In a statement, he said that the US announcement of a blockade is a foolish and ignorant decision, other countries can pass through the Strait of Hormuz, but we cannot? This is impossible.

Press TV quoted Mr. Qalibaf as saying, "We do not trust the enemy. Even now, as we sit here, war can break out. The armed forces are fully prepared for war on the ground." According to the broadcaster, the Speaker of the Parliament denied that the ongoing talks could lead to negligence towards national security.

Mr. Qalibaf said, "We think that the talks do not mean that the armed forces are not prepared, it's not like that. On the contrary, like ordinary people on the streets, our armed forces are also prepared." Earlier, Pakistani broadcaster Geo TV reported that the second round of US-Iran talks is likely to take place in Islamabad next week.

On February 28, the United States and Israel launched attacks on Iranian targets, killing over 3,000 people. On April 8, Washington and Tehran announced a two-week ceasefire. The subsequent talks in Islamabad were inconclusive. Although there has been no announcement of resuming hostilities, the United States has started a blockade of Iranian ports. Mediators are trying to hold a new round of talks.
