Patna, September 23 (ABN): Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary performed pooja archana at Vaman Bhagwan Mandir in Buxar on the auspicious occasion of Vaman Dwadashi and prayed for happiness, peace, prosperity and development of the people of the state. On this occasion, the chief minister was welcomed by the temple administration wearing a shawl and garland. District Magistrate Sahila presented the layout plan of the proposed development works of Wamini Shor Dham and gave detailed information about the construction and development in the temple premises to the Chief Minister. The Chief Minister reviewed the proposed measures for the convenience of the devotees and gave necessary instructions to the officials for the development of Wamini Shoor Dham. Talking to the reporters, the Chief Minister said that work is being done rapidly towards connecting Buxar with better road connectivity. A Greenfield Expressway will be constructed from Buxar to Bhagalpur, which will be named 'Vishwamitra Path'. This expressway will connect Buxar, Bhojpur, Arul, Jehanabad, Nalanda, Sheikhpura, Jamui, Banka and Bhagalpur. The Chief Minister inspected the Son Nahar Canal from Katahia Bridge near Jyoti Chowk in Buxar. He got information from the officers about the current situation of the canal, availability of water and its efficiency. The Chief Minister directed that a weir should be constructed to stop the water of the Son Canal, so as to ensure effective use of water in other essential works including irrigation. Later, the Chief Minister inaugurated the Jeevika Bhavan in the Panchayat Sarkar Bhavan premises at Churamanpur of Buxar Sadar Block. He inspected the Jeevika Bhavan and talked to the women working in the sewing center to get information about their work, employment and income. On the occasion, the Chief Minister inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of various development schemes worth about Rs.92 crore. He also inspected the stalls and exhibitions set up by various departments including Jiveka Group, Sahyog Camp, Student Sahyog Camp, Pradhan Mantri Surya Ghar Free Electricity Project, Health Department. The Chief Minister also distributed token checks of CM Solar Promotion Plan, Ayushman Card and benefits provided under Pradhan Mantri Micro Food Enterprise Upgradation Scheme to the beneficiaries. During the inspection of the stalls, the Chief Minister instructed the officials of the health department not to refer the patients unnecessarily from the district and sub-divisional hospitals to the big hospitals. Proper treatment of patients should be ensured in the district and sub-divisional hospitals, so that people do not have to go to distant hospitals unnecessarily. He said that collective efforts should also be made to promote the important crop of Buxar as a brand, so that the local produce can get a better market and increase the income of the farmers. During the 'Kahani Badlao ki, Badlao ke Guhwa' program, the Chief Minister spoke directly to Jeevika Didi. Jiveka didis shared their experiences of economic transformation and self-sufficiency in their lives after being associated with Jiveka groups with the Chief Minister. This increased the income and made it easier to meet the needs of the family including children's education. Jeevika Didi Scindia Devi of Damrao said that with the amount of 10 thousand rupees received under the Chief Minister's Women Employment Scheme, she started her own business and also started cultivating organic vegetables. Today they have four buffaloes and also run a grocery shop. He also expressed his desire to open a booth of Siddha Dairy in front of the Chief Minister. The Chief Minister said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, there is a positive change in the life of the women of the country and Bihar and women are rapidly moving towards self-sufficiency. He said that former Chief Minister Nitish Kumar promoted Jiveka widely, while Prime Minister Narendra Modi also transferred Rs 10,000 each in the accounts of Jiveka didis under the Chief Minister Women Employment Scheme. The Chief Minister said that Jiveka didis have established a market worth Rs. With the aim of promoting goat rearing and connecting people with employment, the sale of goat milk will also be arranged through Siddha. He further said that an MoU will be made to connect the vegetable farmers with the Department of Cooperation to increase their income. A system of procurement of vegetables on the pattern of milk will also be developed, so that the vegetable producers have access to the market in their own villages. The Chief Minister said that the government is continuously working to make women self-sufficient. Jeevika didis have played an important role in the economy of Bihar. The aim of the government is to further increase the income of the widows and make more and more women economically self-sufficient. Later, the Chief Minister met and interacted with the workers at the Bharatiya Janata Party office in Ahiroli. He paid tribute to late Kalashpati Mishra's statue installed in the office premises by placing flowers and also planted a Rudraksha sapling.
