Chief Minister Shri Smriti Irani inaugurated the “Jeev Samvad Program” held at Narain Medical College in Jamuhar (Dahri-on-Sone), Rohtas district, by lighting the lamp under the “Vandana-Vaishno Devi Yatra.” On the occasion, the Chief Minister welcomed the participants of the Seva Yatra by offering them flowers and praised their dedication and commitment to service.
Addressing the program, the Chief Minister stated that under the “Seva Sankalp Mission,” the volunteers had been traveling from Vindhyagiri to Varanasi for nearly 20 days, away from their families. She welcomed all the Seva Yatri and commended their spirit of service and determination. She appealed to the youth to associate themselves with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of building a developed India by 2047 and play an active role in the nation’s development.
The Chief Minister noted the clear difference between India before and after 2014. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, significant progress has been made in the country’s economy, infrastructure, and public utility sectors. She urged the youth to understand the transformations taking place in the country and ensure their participation in the goal of a developed India.
Referring to the services of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the Chief Minister said that he played a crucial role in the integration of the country’s states, strengthening the foundation of a united India. Mentioning Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee’s resolve against “one country, two constitutions, two flags, and two leaders,” she stated that the abrogation of Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir was a significant step toward fulfilling that resolve. Highlighting the construction of the Shri Ram Mandir in Ayodhya, she said that the BJP kept this issue as part of its commitment and did not back down from its promises. She emphasized that working with a spirit of service and determination is extremely important for the nation’s development.
The Chief Minister stated that the dream of a developed India cannot be realized without making Bihar prosperous. The state is strengthening road and transport facilities, along with irrigation and water management. The irrigated area in Bihar has increased from approximately 2.1 million hectares to nearly 4.4 million hectares. Given the issues of flooding in North Bihar and drought in South Bihar, special attention is required for water management. She noted that air connectivity in Bihar has also expanded, with air services already started in Darbhanga and Purnea. The target has been set to activate 10 airports in the state before 2029. Work on the construction of a four-lane road from Patna to Sasaram is also set to begin soon.
The Chief Minister said that approximately 87 percent of Bihar’s population resides in rural areas, and Jeevika Didiyan are playing a vital role in strengthening the rural economy. The protection of women is the government’s top priority, and immediate action will be taken against those who mistreat them. She stated that the government is striving to ensure that no one from Bihar is compelled to leave the state for wage labor by 2030. Continuous efforts are being made to create better employment and investment opportunities in the state. She appealed to industrialists working outside Bihar to invest in their motherland and cooperate in the state’s development.
Mentioning welfare schemes such as drinking water, toilets, the Aajiv Yojana, and pucca houses for the poor under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the Chief Minister said that the promotion of public utilities has brought positive changes to the lives of common people. She appealed to the youth to play an active role in Bihar’s development, stating that Bihar is safe and welcomes people from the country and the world. She called on everyone to cooperate in building a prosperous and developed Bihar. The Chief Minister also congratulated Prime Minister Narendra Modi on completing 25 years of public life and service.
Minister of Industry and Sports Shri Shreesh Singh, Member of Parliament from Madhya Pradesh Shri Vishnu Dutt Sharma, BJP Organizational General Secretary Shri Bhikhu Bhai Dalsaniya, and former Member of Parliament Gopal Narain Singh also addressed the program.
Present on the occasion were Member of Legislative Assembly Shri Trivikram Narain Singh, Member of Legislative Council Shri Deepak Kumar Singh, State President of BJP Yuva Morcha Shri Jitendra Singh, Rohtas BJP District President Shri Santosh Patel, Aurangabad BJP District President Shri Virendra Chandravanshi, along with other public representatives and dignitaries.
