Patna, April 21 (ABN). Jharkhand government minister Deepika Pandey Singh, while addressing a press conference held at the state Congress headquarters Sadaqat Ashram, accused the central government of deliberately delaying the implementation of women's reservation and flouting the constitutional process. He said that the government is plotting by amending the Nari Shakti Vandan Act. This law was not notified for three years and now there are talks of amending it which is completely unconstitutional. This is the first time that a bill is being introduced to amend a law that has not yet been notified. Deepika Pandey Singh said that this is a deliberate conspiracy to deprive women of their rights. When it comes to giving women their rights, why are conditions like census and delimitation being put? Why are women not being given the reservation that Parliament approved three years ago? He questioned why delimitation is being done under the guise of reservation for women and why reservation of women is being stopped under the pretext of census. He said that the atmosphere in the country is changing and women are ready to fight for their rights. Deepika Pandey Singh said that BJP is afraid of caste-based census because it knows that women of EBC, OBC, SC and ST will demand their rights. She alleged that the central government is cheating women in the name of women reservation and wants to implement Modi reservation instead of women reservation. He said that incidents of crimes against women are continuously being reported in the country. Manipur, Annan? And the government's silence during incidents like Hathras raises questions. Bihar Pradesh Congress President Rajesh Ram said that the Prime Minister himself is spreading confusion in the country over the Women's Reservation Bill passed in 2023 with the support of the Congress Party. He said that Congress Parliamentary Party leader Sonia Gandhi has strongly welcomed the bill, and Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has created a favorable environment for it. Rajesh Ram said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been sitting on this law for three years and is now trying to spread confusion. He demanded that instead of spreading confusion, the Prime Minister should take the initiative to appoint a woman as the Prime Minister of the country. He also said that Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary is also spreading confusion on this issue. Rajesh Ram alleged that these people do not know how to run the government and are trying to divert attention from public issues.
