Selection of 9347 beneficiaries through computerized randomization, including 1247 beneficiaries from minority class
Patna: 20 May 2026: Under the visionary leadership of Chief Minister Mr. Samrat Choudhary, the beneficiaries for the financial year 2025-26 under the Chief Minister Udyami Scheme were selected through a computerized randomization process. Industry and Sports Minister Ms. Shreesi Singh announced the selected beneficiaries.
Out of the applications received for the 74 projects listed under the scheme, a total of 9,347 new applicants were provisionally selected through the computerized randomization system, district-wise, as per the target. The provisionally selected beneficiaries include 2000 from the listed caste, 2000 from the listed tribes, 2000 from the women's category, 2000 from the youth category, 1247 from the minority category, and 100 from the disabled category. Additionally, 30 percent of the applications will be kept on the waiting list, category-wise and district-wise.
After verification and authentication of the required documents of the provisionally selected 9,347 applications, the final selection list will be published on the Udyami portal. After training the finally selected applicants, the project amount of approximately Rs. 910.25 crore will be disbursed in three installments, as per the guidelines of the scheme.
On the occasion, SC, ST Welfare Minister Mr. Lakhinder Kumar Roshan said that the Chief Minister Udyami Scheme is becoming a powerful means of employment and self-reliance for the youth of the SC, ST class.
Industry and Sports Minister Ms. Shreesi Singh said that the Udyami Scheme is an important initiative of the Bihar government towards empowering the youth, women, and backward classes of the state. She said that a transparent and technology-based selection process is ensuring fair opportunities for the eligible beneficiaries.
Secretary and Managing Director, Bihar Industrial Area Development Authority, and IDA, Mr. Kandan Kumar said that the department has made the selection process fully transparent, technology-based, and accountable. He said that efforts are being made to make the selected beneficiaries successful entrepreneurs by providing them with training, guidance, and financial assistance.
Under the Chief Minister Udyami Scheme, online applications were received through the Udyami portal from 15 February 2026 to 23 March 2026 for the financial year 2025-26. Other senior officials, including Director (MSME Directorate) Mr. Aman Sameer, Director (Handloom and Silk Directorate) Dr. Kumar Vidyasagar, Director (Industry) Mr. Mukul Kumar Gupta, were present.
