Chief Minister inspected the construction work of Patna-Bettiah Expressway

Patna, 13 April: (ABN) Chief Minister Nitish Kumar today inspected the first part of the Patna-Bettiah Expressway construction by stopping at the Bakarpur-Manpur road in Saran district and directed officials to complete the work expeditiously. During the inspection, while providing information about the project, Road Construction Department Secretary Mr. Pankaj Kumar Pal said that work on the greenfield project connecting Patna to Bettiah is progressing rapidly. The target has been set to complete the construction of the first part by April 2027. After the completion of this project, Patna to Bettiah can be reached easily in 3 hours. During the inspection, the Chief Minister said that this is an important connectivity project for Bihar. The construction of this road will make the journey from Patna to Bettiah easier, allowing people to reach Bettiah in less time. The completion of this greenfield project will reduce pressure on other routes. This project will directly connect the districts of Vaishali, Saran, East Champaran, and West Champaran to Patna, leading to further acceleration in the economic development of North Bihar. During the inspection, the Chief Minister's Principal Secretary Mr. Deepak Kumar, Road Construction Department Secretary Mr. Pankaj Kumar Pal, Chief Minister's Secretary Mr. Kumar Ravi, Chief Minister's OSD Dr. Gopal Singh, Saran District SSP Mr. Vinay Kumar, Saran District Deputy Development Commissioner Mr. Lakshman Tiwari, and senior officials of HHA were present.
