Chief Secretary reviewed the implementation of projects

Patna (ABN) Chief Secretary Amrit on Monday reviewed the progress of two major and important projects of the Water Resources Department, 'Utar Koil Reservoir Project' and 'Mandi Weir and Canal System'. During the meeting, the Chief Secretary clarified that the state government's top priority is to provide timely irrigation facilities to farmers, so no kind of sluggishness or negligence will be tolerated in construction work. The review revealed that the overall physical progress of the Right Main Canal is 31.17 percent, while work is underway on a major portion of 77.69 kilometers in length, with an overall progress of 57.09 percent. The process of land acquisition in Aurangabad and Gaya districts is in the final stages. The meeting was attended by the Principal Secretary of the Water Resources Department, Gaya District Magistrate, Chief Engineers of concerned districts, representatives of Webcos, and other senior officials.
