Development works should be effectively branded at the national level: Chief Minister

Patna, 18 April (ABN) Chief Minister Smarat Choudhary reviewed the works of the Department of Information and Public Relations, Civil Aviation Department, and Urban Development and Housing Department on Saturday and issued necessary directives. During the review meeting, Secretary of the Department of Information and Public Relations, Anupam Kumar, gave a detailed briefing regarding the state government's priorities and stated that various means, including electronic, social, web, and digital media, are being used to inform the public about public welfare schemes and positive changes, while also promoting art, culture, archaeology, and other heritage along with 'Brand Bihar', and the use of artificial intelligence is also being increased.
The Chief Minister directed that the cultural heritage be identified at the district level and arrangements be made to provide information to tourists in an easy manner, along with effective branding of development works being done in the state at the national level. He emphasized the use of artificial intelligence for real-time monitoring and better use in government work and directed the Urban Development and Housing and Panchayati Raj departments to take special measures in this direction. He also stressed the identification of government land and its use for advertising and increasing revenue.
During the meeting, Secretary of the Civil Aviation Department, Nalish Ram Chandra Diwakar, informed about the development of air infrastructure and measures to increase international connectivity through a presentation. It was stated that the development of airports, aviation training, disaster management, and VIP flight services are being given priority, while practical steps are also being taken to start international flights from Patna and Gaya.
Chief Minister Smarat Choudhary said that solid steps are being taken to promote aeronautics in the state, under which a plan is being made to develop commercial, hospitality, logistics, and tourism-based infrastructure around major airports, while special attention is also being given to the development of small and regional airports. He directed that a comprehensive plan be prepared for the development of airports in all districts and safety and quality be ensured. He said that work is being done rapidly on the expansion of runways, construction of terminals, and other facilities under the Udan scheme, which will provide better air connectivity to remote areas and promote balanced regional development, while the government is also committed to promoting tourism and investment.
During the review meeting, Principal Secretary of the Urban Development and Housing Department, Viney Kumar, gave a detailed presentation on the roadmap of 11 satellite/greenfield townships and stated that suitable land is being allocated for these projects, while the government will invest in basic infrastructure such as roads and drainage, and urban development will be carried forward according to the master plan through private investment, under which at least 55 percent of the land will be returned to the landowners. The Chief Minister emphasized digital mapping for rapid development of urban areas, long-term planning, cleanliness, traffic system, and urban expansion, saying that the government is taking continuous steps to make people's lives easier.
