The Education Department issued a notification for half-day classes on Saturday Patna, August 6 (ABN) Half-day classes have been implemented on Saturdays in all government schools across the state. The Education Department has issued a notification in this regard. Informing this, Education Minister Mithilesh Tiwari said that many MLAs, teacher leaders, and teachers had been consistently demanding half-day on Saturdays. Considering the problems faced by teachers, half-day classes have been implemented on Saturdays in all government schools.
The Minister of Education was addressing a press conference held at the Madan Mohan Auditorium of Vikas Bhawan on Thursday. He said that Chief Minister Smarat Choudhary had also hinted at a half-day program on Saturdays during a recent program in Munger. In light of this, a partial change has been made in the timings of government schools, and the time from 9:30 am to 1:00 pm has been fixed for Saturdays. Secondary and higher secondary schools will continue the teaching process till 1:00 pm on Saturdays, and other pre-scheduled activities will be held. After that, students will be given leave.
He said that ensuring standard education for students is their top priority, and continuous efforts are being made to achieve this. Minister of Education Mr. Tiwari said that teachers who are more than the approved posts in schools had to apply voluntarily for transfer. For this purpose, the Education Department's portal was open from July 30 and closed at 12 midnight on August 5. A total of 106,287 teachers from the state had to apply for voluntary transfer, out of which 73,151 have applied. Now the process of their transfer will begin. Similarly, a total of 4,259 applications have been received for mutual transfer. The process of mutual transfer will be completed by September 14. The portal for general transfer will open on September 17.
He said that a district cadre has been created for teachers. Teachers will be transferred once every five years. The Minister of Education said that all issues of teachers will be resolved by October 31, 2026, after which teachers will solve the problems of students. He said that efforts are being made to improve government schools in comparison to private schools. This work is being done under the new education policy.
He informed that for the first time in Bihar, a two-day Chintan camp of officers of the Education Department posted in the district and headquarters is being organized on August 9 and 10. The problems that exist will be discussed, and measures will be taken to solve them. A transparent system has been implemented in the Education Department, and the results are starting to show. Continuous efforts are being made to improve education. Other officials of the Education Department were also present on the occasion.
