Government's initiative towards ensuring comfortable travel for women
Patna, August 23 (ABN) A special initiative has been taken from the government level for women regarding Raksha Bandhan. The service of such pink buses has been started especially for transport equipped with their facilities. Under the Prime Minister's e-bus service plan, Bihar has started getting AC electric buses. Five of these buses have now started service of pink buses specially for women connecting the capital city of Patna and nearby cities. All these buses are low-floor and battery-powered, providing women with a comfortable and eco-friendly alternative to public transport. According to the Bihar State Road Transport Corporation (BSRTC), two of these five ACE Pink buses are plying on the Patna-Paliganj and Baili Road routes, while one is plying from Patna to Behta. Patna to Paliganj route (up) 121 rupees, Dulhan Bazar, 108 rupees, Bikram 84 rupees, Nubatpur 70 rupees and Danapur railway station 40 rupees, while from Paliganj (down) Dulhan Bazar 14, Bikram 38, Nubatpur 51, Danapur railway station: 82, and Gandhi Maidan 121 rupees. Service from Patna to Behta IIT: Kargil Chowk to Multimodal Hub, Income Tax Crossing: Rs 13-13, Secretariat, Zoo Rs 18, Gola Road Rs 24, Saguna Mor Rs 37, Danapur Railway Station Rs 42 Shivala Mor Rs 55, Hungama Water Park Rs 66, Behta and Bhata IIT Rs 72. According to the Road Construction Corporation, Bihar is to get a total of 400 AC electric buses, of which 50 will be pink buses exclusively for women. The AC facility will ensure a comfortable journey for women even in summer. Being electric, these buses will also help in reducing pollution and promoting green transport. At present, 100 pink buses are already running in different districts of the state.
