Hockey will be extended to all districts and blocks of Bihar. For this, the game will be organized in every way. This will give ample opportunity to talented players from rural and remote areas to showcase their skills. These things were said by Minister of Rural Development, Information and Public Relations and President of Bihar Hockey Association Mr. Shravan Kumar at the annual meeting of Hockey Association of Bihar on Sunday. He said that the aim of Bihar Hockey Association is to promote hockey at the grassroots level in the state. The program was held at SR Garden, Patna. The program reviewed the work of the year 2025-26 and discussed and approved the detailed action plan for the upcoming year 2026-27. Mr. Sherwin Kumar encouraged the hockey players of Dalit Shushat Samdhan Vidyalaya by giving them graphite hockey sticks and wished them a bright future. He said that the association and the government will jointly make necessary efforts to ensure that lack of resources does not hamper the development of talented players. The minister said that the coming time will bring golden opportunities for the hockey players of Bihar. The Bihar government is fully committed to the development of the sport and its players. The Hockey Association will work extensively with the government for the development of hockey in the state and make every effort to make Bihar one of the leading hockey states of the country. The agendas set out in the program including NSF were unanimously approved. At the same time, various committees were formed and their chairpersons were appointed to ensure the proper functioning of the association and better implementation of various activities. Rana Pratap Singh, secretary of the association, presented the proceedings, while the treasurer presented the accounts and annual financial statement of the association. Detailed discussions were held with representatives of various district units and future plans and programs were also discussed. At the end of the meeting, Anubha Singh thanked all the officials, district units and members present. The annual general meeting was attended by the office bearers of the association, representatives of various district units and other members.
