Patna, September 24: A two-day state level training workshop is being organized by the Directorate of Economics and Statistics, Bihar under the Department of Planning and Development for capacity building of officers and personnel related to Agricultural Statistics. Planning and Development Minister Bhagwan Singh Kushwaha participated in the programme. On this occasion, Under Secretary Shyam Bihari Meena, Director of Economics and Statistics Directorate Dr. Noorul Haq Shivani and other senior officers were present. Deputy Director (Statistics) of all divisions of the state, District Statistical Officers and other relevant officers and officials are participating in the training program. The training for South Bihar is being held on September 22 and 23, while for North Bihar on September 24 and 25. The objective of the training is to strengthen the system of collection and preservation of agricultural statistics, to improve the accuracy, reliability and timely availability of data, to increase the technical capacity of the concerned officers and personnel and to assess the better situation of the agricultural sector through statistical analysis. During the training, special attention is being given to data acquisition, field survey, data quality and statistical analysis methods related to agricultural activities. Efforts are also being made to increase the technical capacity of the participants in the use of modern and digital means, systematic record of data and effective analysis of available information.
