Inauguration of development projects of 3 Ganga ghats in Patna

Patna (FNS): Chief Minister Smarat Choudhary today inaugurated the beautification and development project of Patna's Bhadra Ghat, Mahavir Ghat, and Nujawan Ghat by unveiling the plaque. Developed at a cost of Rs 46.26 crore by Bihar Urban Infrastructure Development Corporation (BUDCO), these three Ganga ghats have been equipped with modern facilities, providing safe, clean, and better public amenities to the people of the capital and devotees. After the inauguration, the Chief Minister inspected the development work done at the three Ganga ghats. During this, officers provided detailed information to the Chief Minister through a site plan. On this occasion, the Chief Minister touched the water of the Ganga and paid homage, praying for the well-being, peace, and prosperity of the people of the state. Local public representatives, leaders, and officials of the Urban Development and Housing Department welcomed the Chief Minister with garlands and shawls. Local citizens showered flower petals on him. It is worth noting that Bihar Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited (BUDCO) has promoted the beautification project of the riverfront at a cost of Rs 46.26 crore to strengthen basic urban amenities in urban areas, planned urban development, and modern infrastructure in the direction of improving the quality of public services. Under this project, Bhadra Ghat, Mahavir Ghat, and Nujawan Ghat have been equipped with solid and modern facilities. Earlier, these ghats were makeshift, but their construction will now facilitate people's bathing and worship. The beautifully constructed ghats include modern walkways, solid ghats, proper lighting (high-mast lights), safety barriers, and complete sanitation arrangements. The construction of these new solid ghats will provide great convenience to local residents and devotees, especially during the Chhath festival. On this occasion, MLA Mr. Ratanesh Kashyaha, Mayor of Patna Municipal Corporation Mrs. Sita Sahu, Deputy Mayor of Patna Municipal Corporation Mrs. Reshmi Kumari, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Mr. Deepak Kumar, Chief Secretary Mr. Pritya Amrit, Principal Secretary of Urban Development and Housing Department Mr. Venee Kumar, Secretary to the Chief Minister Mr. Sanjay Kumar Singh, Secretary of Urban Development and Housing Department Mr. Animesh Kumar Prashar, Commissioner of Patna Municipal Corporation Mr. Yashpal Meena, Chief Manager of BUDCO Mr. Srinand Kumar Mehta, and other senior officers and local people were present.
