Aam Aadmi Party's national convener Arvind Kejriwal has decided not to appear in his case being heard in Justice Saurabh Kirpal Sharma's court and not to present any arguments. Mr. Kejriwal said on Monday while sharing this information, "My hope of getting justice from Justice Saurabh Kirpal Sharma has been shattered. Listening to my conscience, following the principles of the Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi, and with the spirit of Satyagraha, I have decided not to appear before him in this case." He said, "I had requested Justice Saurabh Kirpal Sharma to recuse himself from my case due to a conflict of interest, but he himself decided to hear it. Whatever decision Justice Saurabh Kirpal Sharma gives in this case, I am free to exercise my legal right on it. At the same time, he clarified that he has full faith in the judiciary and respects it, as when conspiracies were hatched against him, the judiciary had acquitted him of the charges and given him justice." He further said, "In life, there are many times when winning or losing doesn't matter. The question of what is right and what is wrong becomes more important. At such times, we have to decide whether we will choose the difficult path or the easy one. Today, I am also at such a juncture. Everyone knows that I was trapped in a false case, sent to jail, and an elected government was wrongly toppled. We were kept in jail for several months, but ultimately, the truth won." He said, "I want to make it clear that I have full faith in the judiciary. When I was arrested in a false case, it was the same judiciary that granted me bail and acquitted me of the false case. In the last 75 years, whenever the country was in crisis, our judiciary has saved the country and protected the interests of citizens. I also have a lot of respect for Justice Saurabh Kirpal Sharma, and I have no personal objection to him or his family. But a big principle of justice is that justice should not only be done but also seen to be done. That's why I had requested him to recuse himself from this case, but he rejected my arguments." The AAP leader said that he has informed Justice Saurabh Kirpal Sharma about this through a letter today. He has no personal differences with him. If in the future, he has any case before him in which the BJP, the central government, or Charru Mahtha is not involved, he will definitely appear before him. You can ask why he is not going to the Supreme Court if he does not agree with his order. He is preparing for it. The entire matter is very sensitive.
