Patna, Aug 17 (ABN) Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary on Monday inaugurated the auction of important and strategic mineral blocks and NMEDT workshop organized by the Ministry of Coal and Mines, Government of India. On this occasion, Chief Minister Mr. Chaudhary said that a survey of mineral blocks has been conducted in Bihar. Preservation of historical and cultural heritage is the responsibility of all of us and it will not be harmed in any way. He said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi's dream of 'Developed India' and former Chief Minister Nitish Kumar's dream of 'Prosperous Bihar' has to be fulfilled. Since the year 2005, many development works have been done in Bihar under the leadership of former Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. Infrastructure has been built. Infrastructure requires other mineral elements including stone. He said that the resources here will be better used in the interest of the people of Bihar. Tenders for several mineral blocks have been issued and many are in process. Our officers are busy with this work and we will complete this work in nine months. Survey work has progressed in 28 coal blocks out of 44 coal blocks. More than 30 coal blocks will be allotted before September 30. From October 15, initiatives will be taken to start mining operations in Bihar. The Chief Minister said that Bihar's budget has now increased to Rs 3 lakh 47 thousand crores. A number of important development works are being carried out rapidly in Bihar. There is no dearth of resources in Bihar. Development should be accelerated in the interest of the people by making full use of the resources. He said that there are limestone deposits in Rohtas, large mineral deposits in Aurangabad, while Jehanabad and Jamui have magnet deposits. Gaya, Banka and Bhagalpur also have large mineral resources. All these resources have to be used better. He said that the royalty earned from the minerals would be used for the benefit of the people of Bihar and for the development of the state. Mineral wealth will not be allowed to be misused at any level. Efforts will be made to achieve the investment target of Rs 5 lakh crore by November along with setting up a mineral hub in the state. He said that he has also spoken to Union Coal and Mining Minister G Kishan Reddy. He said that Satish Chandra Dubey also belongs to Bihar, he is also very active and working for the interest of Bihar, for which he deserves congratulations. Chief Minister Mr. Chaudhary said that various incentives are being given to investors for setting up industries in the state. He said that his most appeal is to invest in Bihar with an open heart and help Bihar to move forward. Bihar Government will provide all possible cooperation. Union Minister of State for Coal and Mining Satish Chandra Dubey welcomed the Chief Minister by presenting a green plant, Angvastram and a memento. Satish Chandra Dubey, Minister of State for Coal and Mining and Kadam Sandeep V, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Coal and Mining, Government of India also addressed the programme. Minister of Mining and Geology Dr. Pramod Kumar, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Deepak Kumar, Secretary of Mining and Geology Department Avinash Kumar Singh, Ministry of Coal and Mining, Director Ashish Saxena, Government of India and other senior officers and dignitaries were present on this occasion.
