Patna, 28 April (ABN): Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary today inaugurated the newly constructed Technology Center, Bhattha (Patna), and four extension centers at Muzaffarpur, Rohtas, Darbhanga, and Munger through remote. The Chief Minister also launched the Business Awareness and Special Vendor Development Program under the National SC/ST Hub.

At the Technology Center, Bhattha, Patna, the Chief Minister inspected the stalls set up by the Ministry of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises. He also inspected the newly constructed building at the Technology Center, Bhattha. During the inspection, officials provided detailed information to the Chief Minister about the latest machinery and other facilities provided in the training workshop.

The Chief Minister formally inaugurated the program by lighting the lamp. On the stage set up for the inaugural ceremony, Dr. Rajneesh, Additional Secretary, Ministry of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises, welcomed the Chief Minister with a shawl and a memento. A short film was shown to the Chief Minister about the developmental works being done in the MSME sector and the newly established Technology Centers in Bihar.

The Chief Minister distributed checks/tools kits/certificates to the beneficiaries of the Pradhan Mantri Vishwakarma Yojana, PMEGP scheme, SC-ST Hub scheme, and 'Gram Adi Yog Vikas Yojana'.

Addressing the program, the Chief Minister said that today is a historic day. In undivided Bihar, many big industries like TATA and Bokaro were established, but after the separation of Jharkhand from Bihar in 2000, only a few industries remained. Since the formation of the NDA government in Bihar in 2005, we have started moving Bihar forward. Under the leadership of former Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, significant developmental work has been done in every field of Bihar in the last two decades. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is continuously working for the development of the country. We are working at every level to make Bihar prosperous.

The Chief Minister said that Bihar was once a very developed and prosperous state. In the middle period, Bihar's development stopped. After 2005, under the tenure of then Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, the work of moving Bihar forward started. However, since 2014, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the country's development has gained momentum.

He said that the current population of Bihar is approximately 14 crores. The youth who will receive training in the newly established Technology Centers will get diplomas and degrees, which will not only provide them with better employment opportunities but also create opportunities for employment. This will benefit lakhs of children and make them skilled. In these Technology Centers, training will be provided on three topics: product quality, packaging, and better marketing of products at the national and international levels.

The Chief Minister said that Bihar is a state where the annual fee for engineering education is only Rs 10, and diploma students are charged only Rs 5 per year. Former Chief Minister Nitish Kumar ensured this arrangement. ITIs, polytechnic institutes have been established in every sub-division of Bihar, and engineering colleges have been established in every district. Now, medical colleges are also being established in every district. Soon, land will be identified and made available for the Technology Center in Gaya. We request the Central Government to approve the establishment of 10 more Technology Centers in Bihar so that more youth in Bihar can become skilled. We will meet the Prime Minister and request him in this regard.

The Chief Minister said that in the first meeting of our cabinet, we approved Rs 200 crores for the establishment of the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) Research Center at Bhattha. With its establishment, people from all over the world will come to Bihar, and Bihar's prosperity will increase. When Bihar develops, the country will develop.

The Chief Minister said that Bihar is already prone to floods and droughts. An agreement has been signed between Bihar and Jharkhand regarding the distribution of water from the Son River, to end the dispute. Under this agreement, the construction of the Kadonu Reservoir (Indrapuri Reservoir Project-2) will start in Garhwa district of Jharkhand, which will double the irrigation capacity in eight districts of Bihar. Small-scale industries are being promoted in Bihar, which is further improving the economic condition of the people. It is stated that 1 crore 86 lakh people are engaged in the micro, small, and medium enterprises sector, with a market of Rs 1 lakh crore.

People did not look towards Bihar until GST was introduced. People thought that Bihar was poor due to its large population. The 14 crore people of Bihar are contributing to the Indian economy through GST. Our effort is to bring an investment of Rs 5 lakh crores to Bihar by 20 November, when this government completes one year. When large-scale industries are established in Bihar, employment opportunities will increase, and Bihar will become prosperous.

The Chief Minister said that from July, one degree college will be opened in every block of Bihar. One model school will be established in every block so that children do not have to go out for education. He further said that under the 'Sahayog' program, camps will be organized at the block, zone, and police station levels every month to solve people's problems on the spot.

I assure you that I will fulfill the expectations of the people of Bihar and the dream of a developed Bihar of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and former Chief Minister Nitish Kumar at any cost. For this, your cooperation is required. The government has promised to provide employment and jobs to 1 crore people, and work is being done at every level to achieve this.
