Patna: April 19 (Press Release): A ceremony to launch the book "Nashad Aurangabadi's Intellectual Dimensions" and a mushaira was held on Sunday at the Government Urdu Library hall, organized by Bazm Nashad Aurangabadi. The book, compiled by Muhammad Hasnain Ansari, was jointly launched by Shafiq Mashhadi, Dr. Ahmad Abdul Hai, Professor Tauqir Alam, Dr. Rehan Ghani, Ihsan Ahmad, Dr. Fazlullah Qadri, Marghoob Asar Fatimi, Kaleemullah Kaleem Dastpuri, Fakhruddin Aarfi, and Engineer Wasim Aurangabadi. The ceremony was presided over by Shafiq Mashhadi, former chairman of the Bihar Urdu Advisory Committee, while renowned surgeon Dr. Ahmad Abdul Hai and former Pro-Vice Chancellor of Magharh University Professor Tauqir Alam attended as special guests.
In his address, Shafiq Mashhadi said that he had a deep relationship with Nashad Aurangabadi, spanning over 50-55 years. Nashad Aurangabadi was not only a great poet but also a great human being. He would tell him that although his name had "Khan" in it, his demeanor seemed like that of a Syed. He congratulated Engineer Wasim Aurangabadi, also known as Wasim Akhtar, on organizing the ceremony in memory of his father and for continuing his legacy. He said that Wasim Akhtar had fulfilled his duty as a son in the best possible way.
Dr. Ahmad Abdul Hai said that he had met Nashad Aurangabadi several times and admired his poetry. Ihsan Ahmad said that he had a long-standing relationship with Nashad Sahib, who was a talented poet. Later, Professor Tauqir Alam presided over the ceremony and, in his address, called Nashad Aurangabadi a unique and great poet of his time. He said that Nashad Aurangabadi's qualities could not be described in a few hours. Simplicity and humility were the hallmarks of his personality.
Renowned journalist Dr. Rehan Ghani spoke about his long-standing relationship with Nashad Aurangabadi and described him as a great poet. He congratulated Wasim Aurangabadi on remembering his father's services and trying to follow in his footsteps. Dr. Fazlullah Qadri also mentioned his deep relationship with Nashad Aurangabadi and said that his personality was humane, and his poetry had beautiful solutions to contemporary problems. Humility and simplicity were his greatest identities. He was a natural poet, primarily a ghazal poet, but also wrote naats.
Sultan Azad presented a beautiful essay on Nashad Aurangabadi's services and said that for four decades, Nashad Aurangabadi had spread the color of poetry. On this occasion, Kaleemullah Kaleem Dastpuri paid a poetic tribute to Nashad Aurangabadi. Dr. Shahid Jamil said that Nashad Aurangabadi was still alive today, even after his death, because he had left behind his worthy son, Engineer Wasim Aurangabadi, as his literary heir. He said that any writer or poet should be appreciated during their lifetime, but the situation is quite the opposite.
Later, a mushaira was held under the presidency of Be Naam Gilani and the management of Asar Faridi, in which Nadim Jafri, Shafiq Bazidpuri, Iqbal Akhtar Dil, Ashfaq Adil, Irfan Bulharvi, Muslehuddin Kazim, Talat Parvin, Engineer Wasim Aurangabadi, Farhana Tabassum, Aaradhana Prasad, Marghoob Asar Fatimi, R.P. Ghail, Mausuma Khatoon, Nazal, Shama Kausar Naseem, and Dr. Abdul Basit Hamidi presented their poetry.
As special guests, former IAS Ihsan Ahmad, renowned journalist Dr. Rehan Ghani, Dr. Fazlullah Qadri of Government Medical College Patna, senior poet Marghoob Asar Fatimi, Dr. Muhammad Mazharul Haq, Kaleemullah Kaleem Dastpuri, Dr. Shahid Jamil, and Sultan Azad attended the ceremony. The management of the ceremony was done by renowned short story writer Fakhruddin Aarfi in his unique style and beautiful manner. Engineer Wasim Aurangabadi, as the secretary of Bazm Nashad Aurangabadi, warmly welcomed all the guests, while earlier, renowned writer Dr. A.K. Alvi had presented a bouquet to the guests and shed light on the objectives of the launch and mushaira ceremony. He paid a heartfelt tribute to Nashad Aurangabadi.
After the launch ceremony, a mushaira was also held, presided over by Be Naam Gilani and managed by Asar Faridi. Engineer Wasim Aurangabadi, secretary of Bazm Nashad Aurangabadi, thanked all the guests and participants. Senior member of the reception committee, Dr. A.K. Alvi, expressed his closeness to Nashad Aurangabadi and shared his valuable impressions about his poetry. Several members of the reception committee, including Parvez Khan, Adil, and Aqil Wasim, worked tirelessly to make the program a success. Due to unavoidable circumstances, the book's compiler, Muhammad Hasnain Ansari, could not attend the launch ceremony.
The launch and mushaira ceremony were attended by several other individuals, including Sharf ul Huda, Dr. Anwar ul Huda, Meem Ashraf, Dr. Mahboob Alam, Ziaul Haq, Atiqur Rahman Shaban, Muhammad Parvez Alam, Azharul Haq, Nasrullah Nastvi, and Muhammad Shahid Haq.
