On the 12th day of the monsoon session of Parliament on Friday, opposition party members protested against alleged irregularities in the Ayodhya Ram Temple offerings. Meanwhile, Member of Parliament Pappu Yadav sat dressed in a unique priestly attire.
During the protest, independent MP Pappu Yadav, clad in saffron robes and disguised as a priest, sat on the floor with a donation box, and Lok Sabha Opposition Leader Rahul Gandhi and other opposition MPs symbolically donated to it. The members of Parliament standing behind Pappu Yadav held posters that read, "Why is Amit Shah absent from Parliament?"
It is worth noting that since the first day of the monsoon session (for 12 consecutive days), the proceedings of the House have not been smooth due to continuous ruckus over various issues. Opposition parties are protesting against the Modi government over issues such as social issues, student protests, and transparency in the management of religious sites.
