Azimabad: A grand meeting will be held on September 27 in Azimabad on the current situation of Muslims in the country, educational backwardness, protection of national unity mosques and tombs, Uniform Civil Code (UCC) and other important and sensitive issues related to the rights of minorities. In the meeting, the problems faced by Muslims in the context of the current situation of the country will be discussed along with effective measures to protect their constitutional and democratic rights. Speakers will express their views on various important problems of the country and the educational, social and political situation of Muslims. The program will be addressed by former Member of Parliament and well-known fearless speaker Maulana Ubaidullah Khan Azmi, Dr. Asma Zahra, Dr. Anees Ahmed, Dr. Prof. Aftab Alam, Aram Rabbani and Saleem Khan. The speakers will shed light on various aspects related to educational backwardness of Muslims, social issues, national unity and minority rights. Convener of the meeting and former Bihar Member of Assembly and Chairman of the Estimates Committee, Dr. Izhar Ahmed, while reviewing the preparations for the program, said that in the current unfavorable situation, the minorities are facing many problems and challenges. At such a time, it is important that the problems of the minorities should be seriously brought forward and their solution should be considered at the collective level. He said that the purpose of the meeting is not to create an atmosphere against any particular group, but to have a meaningful discussion on the issues related to the constitutional rights of all minorities, including Muslims, and the promotion of national unity and mutual brotherhood. He said that issues like elimination of educational backwardness, protection of religious places and effective participation of minorities in the constitutional and democratic system of the country need serious attention. Dr. Izhar Ahmed appealed to the Muslims to participate in this important meeting held on September 27 in large numbers and be a part of this collective discussion regarding their problems and rights in the current situation of the country. He said that an effort will be made to give a positive and constructive direction to the ideas and suggestions presented in the meeting. Former Chairman of Government Urdu Library, Arshad Feroze, said that it is the need of the hour that the problems of minorities should be openly discussed and our words should reach the people sitting in the House so that the problems can be solved in a timely manner. Bari Azmi, Nawab Atiq-Uzzaman, Dr. Abdul Basit Hamidi, Dr. Nauman Qaiser, Azhar-ul-Haq, Shahid-ul-Haq, Muhammad Hasnain, Parvez Alam, Akbar Ali, Sajid Ali Khan Muhammad Rafi etc. were also present in the review meeting.
