Patna, 3 July (ABN) The campaign against corruption, irregularities, and negligence in the Revenue and Land Reforms Department is gaining momentum. During a review of departmental cases on Friday, Revenue and Land Reforms Minister Dr. Dilip Kumar Jaiswal approved departmental action against two more officers. With this, the number of officers and employees who have faced action in cases of corruption, bribery, administrative irregularities, and negligence in the department over the past month has risen to 62.
The Minister said that the government has a clear policy of not sparing any officer or employee found guilty of corruption, misuse of power, or negligence in public-related matters. The campaign of action in the department will continue with the same strictness to ensure transparency, accountability, and timely services. Under the action approved on Friday, a departmental charge sheet has been prepared against Anand Kumar Mandal, Circle Officer (Anchal Adhikari) of Supaul district. He has been charged with buying land in exchange for 'Premarjan (amendment)', illegal entry and exit (name transfer), and fake 'Premarjan', using government diesel in a private vehicle, and keeping a private broker, among other serious allegations. A charge sheet has been prepared to initiate departmental action against him based on these allegations.
Similarly, a charge sheet has been prepared against Ms. Rakhi Kumari, the then Circle Officer of Forbesganj (Araria) and currently District Audit Officer (Cooperative Service Cadre), and her parent department, Cooperative Department, has been recommended to take disciplinary action against her. She has been accused of causing undue delay in the proceedings of the 'Bandoobast Mansoohi' case number 13/2017-18 during her tenure as Circle Officer, Forbesganj.
It is worth noting that earlier, on June 19, Minister Dr. Dilip Kumar Jaiswal had approved disciplinary and departmental action against 10 officers accused of corruption, bribery, irregularities in entry and exit, and 'Premarjan', tampering with government land cases, and administrative negligence. Prior to this, on June 12, action was taken against eight Circle Officers and Revenue employees.
Minister Dr. Dilip Kumar Jaiswal said that under the 'Zero Tolerance' policy, action against corruption and irregularities in the Revenue and Land Reforms Department will continue unabated. He said that providing transparent, accountable, and timely services to common citizens is the government's top priority, and any officer or employee who creates obstacles in this endeavor will face strict action.
