Speed Up Online Revenue Services, Dispose of Pending Cases Promptly: Dr Dilip Kumar Jaiswal

Patna, September 06 (ABN) In order to make the services of Revenue and Land Reforms Department more effective and of public interest, Department Minister Dr. Dilip Kumar Jaiswal will hold a review meeting with all revenue officers of all districts through video conferencing on September 15. In the meeting, information will be taken from all Additional Collectors, Deputy Collectors of Land Reforms and Circle Officers about the progress of revenue related works and online services. Special emphasis will be given to expeditious disposal of pending cases and to provide the benefit of online services to the common people within the stipulated period. Minister Dr. Dilip Kumar Jaiswal said that no laxity in the services of the Revenue Department will be tolerated at any level. Officers should identify the pending cases in their respective areas and prepare a clear action plan for their resolution and ensure results within the stipulated period. Meetings and reports alone will not work, but the impact should be visible at the ground level. He said that the online revenue services are for the convenience of the people. If online applications remain pending or people have to visit offices repeatedly to get services, it is against the purpose of the system. In such cases, the response of the concerned officer will be decided. The minister said that in the next review meeting, the district-wise progress will be carefully reviewed and weak performance areas will be identified. He said that officers have been directed to deal with the pending cases on priority basis and to improve the speed and quality of online services. He made it clear that officers who are negligent in revenue matters related to the public will not be protected under any circumstances. Failure to implement the instructions of the department will be followed by fixing the responsibility as per the rules. The department has directed all the collectors to ensure the mandatory attendance of all the Additional Collectors, Deputy Collectors of Land Reforms and Circle Officers of their district.
