Struggle continues for the appointment of Urdu, Philosophy, Sanskrit teachers in 211 new degree colleges in Bihar

(Patna) A delegation of research scholars from various universities is engaged in a continuous struggle over the serious issue of non-inclusion of Urdu, Philosophy, Maithili and Sanskrit seats in the 211 new degree colleges opened by the Bihar government. Continuing the same, a delegation of research scholars today met the Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar and former Education Minister, Senior Leader of Janata Dal (United) Mr. Vijay Kumar Chaudhary and informed him that the posts for students of Urdu, Philosophy, Sanskrit and Maithili languages have not been released in these 211 new degree colleges which is a matter of great concern and oppression of the students living in the vicinity of these new colleges. It is equivalent to violence. He requested the Deputy Chief Minister to include the post of the above mentioned important subjects in these new degree colleges and take out a post for it as soon as possible and start the education of these subjects here. It should be noted that the delegation of research scholars also met with the Education Secretary of the Department of Higher Education Mr. Rajeev Roshan and Special Secretary Mr. Pawan Kumar Sinha and informed them about the ground conditions and demanded the appointment of teachers in the new degree colleges by adding the posts of Urdu, Philosophy and other important subjects. This delegation of research scholars includes Muhammad Marjan Ali, Research Scholar of Urdu Department, Jay Prakash University, Chapra, Mohammad Asif Ali associated with Urdu Department of AN College, Patna University, Farhat Sagheer, Research Scholar of Patna University, Naheed Parveen, Research Scholar of Veer Kanwar Singh University, Ara and Muhammad Aamir, Research Scholar of Patna University. The delegation of research scholars while issuing a press release said that the next and most important step of their campaign is to meet the Governor of Bihar and the Chancellor of all the Universities of Bihar Hon'ble Syed Atta Hasnain so that the issue of inclusion of Urdu, Philosophy, Maithili and Sanskrit seats in the 211 new degree colleges can be put before them in an effective and strong manner. The delegation said that Honorable Syed Atta Hasnain is an intellectual and has a better view of educational reforms in universities, if the delegation met him, he would surely understand that the students of Urdu, the second official language of Bihar, and philosophy, Sanskrit and Maithili subjects and their guardians were unhappy and disappointed with the government's attitude that the posts of these subjects were not included in these 211 new degree colleges. In this regard, a request has also been submitted for a meeting with Hon'ble at the Lok Bhavan. Apart from this, a request for a meeting with the Governor has also been sent by the delegation through email. The delegation hopes to have a meeting soon. The members of the delegation said that efforts are also underway to meet the Chief Minister of Bihar Mr. Samrat Chaudhary. In this regard, the delegation has also stepped up efforts to meet the Minister of Education of the Department of Higher Education Mr. Sanjay Kumar Tiger. The delegation said that an attempt will be made to meet the education minister by Tuesday or Wednesday at the office, residence or party office wherever possible. The members of the delegation said that the prayers and love of Urdu students, research scholars and students and researchers associated with various subjects are with them. He said that this struggle is not a single individual's but a collective problem related to the educational future of students and research scholars. The delegation has requested the teachers, students and research scholars associated with all the universities of Bihar to pray for this purpose and to provide financial and practical support in this regard and expressed the hope that the collective struggle will surely achieve success, God willing.
