Patna, May 6 (ABN) Governor Lieutenant General (Retired) Syed Ata Hasnain emphasized that young doctors should utilize their skills to improve the country's healthcare system, as their role is crucial in building a healthy society. The Governor expressed these views while addressing the second convocation of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Patna as the guest of honor on Wednesday.
During his address, the Governor advised the graduating students to perform their duties with service, dedication, and integrity. He urged them to maintain the highest standards of medical ethics, compassion, and professional excellence. The Governor also encouraged them to adopt innovation, research, and modern technology in accordance with the demands of the changing times, while remaining grounded in their fundamental ethical values.
The Governor expressed hope that AIIMS Patna would emerge as a premier and exemplary center in the field of medical education in the near future. The dignified ceremony was attended by several prominent personalities, including Satish Chandra Dubey, Minister of State for Coal and Mining, Ravi Shankar Prasad, Member of Parliament (Lok Sabha), Tariq Anwar, Member of Parliament (Lok Sabha), and Dr. Siddharth Datta Gupta, Member of the Institute Body.
During the ceremony, the stage was graced by the presence of AIIMS Patna's President, Professor (Dr.) Radha Krishna Dhiman, Executive Director and CEO, Professor (Brigadier) Dr. Raju Agarwal, Dean (Academic), Professor (Dr.) Poonam Prasad Bhadani, and Registrar, Professor (Dr.) Jyoti Prakash. All the dignitaries extended their warm congratulations and best wishes to the graduating students for their bright future.
In his address, the institute's President, Professor (Dr.) Radha Krishna Dhiman, advised the students to uphold the highest traditions and ethical practices of medical education throughout their lives. He emphasized that the primary objective of doctors should be patient-centric service. The young doctors should play an active role in strengthening the country's healthcare system.
