Patna (Press Release) The office of "Forum for Peace and Justice", an organization formed to fight against lynching and violence based on caste and religion, was inaugurated on Thursday at the Federal Marriage Hall in Phulwari Sharif. The organization's motivator, MLA Akhtarul Iman, renowned personality Ashfaq Rahman, former Speaker Uday Narayan Choudhary, former DIG Mohammad Abdullah, and others formally inaugurated the office by cutting the ribbon. Akhtarul Iman said that the country's situation is dire, and hatred is taking a serious turn. In such a situation, we cannot remain silent. We have to stand up for justice and peace. Ashfaq Rahman, in his brief address, said that this organization will work on the ground. We will form units across Bihar and connect peace-loving people with it. Today, there is a dire need for peace. In such a situation, we cannot remain silent spectators. This organization will fight for humanity and strengthen its roots. Society progresses with peace and justice, and the country develops. Lynching, injustice, and violence are a blot on any country. Our India is today suffering due to hatred. On the occasion of the inaugural ceremony, a significant meeting of scholars, education experts, and legal experts was held, in which it was unanimously decided that this forum will fight legal battles from district courts to the Supreme Court in cases of lynching of innocent people based on religion and caste and will make every possible effort to provide justice to the victims. In the meeting, former DIG Mohammad Abdullah was elected as the president of the forum, and renowned social activist Syed Masihuddin was elected as the general secretary and Rana Ranjit Singh as the spokesperson. On this occasion, former MLA Nihaluddin, Dr. Azhar Ahmed, Dr. Sajid Ali Khan, Maulana Amanat Hussain, Saraj Anwar (journalist), Azmi Bari, Aslam Jawaid, Anees Amber, MQ Johar, Murshid Alam, Dr. Nasreen Bano, Shagufta Rashid (advocate), and Shama Akhtar (advocate) among many dignitaries expressed their views. All the speakers welcomed this initiative, terming it a significant and necessary requirement of the present time.
