Modi has hijacked the country by stealing votes: Rahul Gandhi

Lok Sabha opposition leader Rahul Gandhi directly attacked Prime Minister Narendra Modi, stating that he has hijacked the country through "vote theft," with Union Home Minister Amit Shah, RSS chief Mohan Bhagat, and Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar assisting him in this endeavor. Speaking to the media after being detained for approximately five hours outside Akashvani Bhavan on Monday during a march by opposition MPs from Parliament to the Election Commission, Mr. Gandhi said that nearly 300 members of the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha had accompanied him a few hours earlier. All the MPs wanted to meet Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar and his two colleagues, but the police stopped them. He stated that MPs are representatives of the country and voice the people's concerns. All the MPs who came with him wanted to meet the Election Commission, but they were not allowed to do so, even though the Election Commission's office is located approximately 50 gaz away, and they were not permitted to go there.

During the "Save Democracy March" by members of the India Alliance from Parliament to the Election Commission, all MPs were stopped outside Akashvani Bhavan. When Mr. Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, and some other MPs sat in protest, the police quietly took them inside Akashvani Bhavan. After being held inside for approximately five and a half hours, they were brought out, and when they refused to leave, they were taken into custody.

Before being taken into custody, Mr. Gandhi told journalists that democracy has been destroyed in the country. What has been done to the country in the name of EVMs is treason. None of the traitors will escape, and action will be taken against all of them.

He said that nearly 300 MPs wanted to meet Gyanesh Kumar, but "Gyanesh Kumar is afraid." He stated that if the Election Commission does not meet the country's representatives, what is the meaning of democracy? In response to a question, he said, "We are not going to fight them; we are going to finish them off." He said that he has no interest in what the BJP says and that he is standing here to save India's democracy. He added that the 300 MPs who came with him are also trying to save democracy in the country.

Mr. Gandhi said, "Amit Shah, Narendra Modi, Mohan Bhagat, and Gyanesh Kumar have destroyed the country's democracy. The entire country and its youth accept and understand this. Even the police officers stopping us are saying that they know. In reality, Narendra Modi has hijacked the country through vote theft, Amit Shah has hijacked it, Mohan Bhagat has hijacked it, and Gyanesh Kumar has helped them."

The Congress leader said, "I am saying this deliberately that action will be taken against all these people, and not a single one of them will escape, whether it is Narendra Modi, Amit Shah, Gyanesh Kumar, or Mohan Bhagat. What has been done to our country is treason. No one will be able to escape."
