Patna (ABN) The first cabinet meeting was held under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Smarat Choudhary on Wednesday. After the meeting, Additional Chief Secretary of the Cabinet Secretariat Department, Arvind Kumar Choudhary, informed reporters that 22 proposals were approved in today's meeting. He said that in a major decision in the cabinet, a proposal to promote 11 new greenfield satellite townships has been approved. Along with this, a proposal to upgrade 75 ITIs in the form of modern skill centers has also been approved. In the cabinet meeting, an amount of Rs 680 crore has been approved for the development of Sonpur Baba Hari Har Nath temple complex in the style of Baba Vishwanath Corridor. Apart from this, a proposal to provide 15 acres of free land to the Department of Tourism in Ghaziapur for the promotion of cultural, religious, and tourist facilities in Tarapur has also been approved. The cabinet has also approved the implementation of 7 resolves-3, under which it has been promised to provide the facility of sitting registration of land, plot, and flat to the elderly above 80 years of age. The government has decided that the process of land and flat registration will now be paperless. A proposal to purchase 1500 scooties and 3200 motorcycles for the police force under the 'Police Didi' scheme to further strengthen security arrangements has been approved, which will cost Rs 66.75 crore. To promote higher education, the expansion of the Research Park and Incubation Center at IIT Patna at a cost of Rs 344 crore has been approved. Meanwhile, a proposal to provide land for the National Forensic Science University and Chanakya National Law University has been approved. The cabinet meeting also decided that in case of death of people in road accidents, the dependents and injured will be provided assistance from the State Disaster Response Fund.
