Kolkata: West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee launched a scathing attack on the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) while addressing a rally in Asansol's Raniganj on Saturday (28 March). She also leveled several serious allegations against the BJP. Mamata Banerjee said the BJP takes money from illegal coal mines and accuses the Trinamool Congress of being thieves, having taken away all their powers. She warned the people that if the BJP comes to power, it will bulldoze everything and throw everyone out.
The state chief minister told the crowd that everyone should unite and support the TMC, and it is from Bengal that the beginning of the end of the BJP will start. Referring to the clashes during the Ram Navami 'Shobha Yatra' in Murshidabad's Raghunathganj, Mamata Banerjee asked why no action was taken. She said, "Don't blame me because all my powers have been taken away. All officers have been transferred, and BJP people have been sent here, but they don't know that we will win."
Mamata Banerjee said the BJP should be ashamed of instigating riots in Raghunathganj. The BJP has sent its officers to instigate riots. Shops were vandalized in Raghunathganj. Who gave you the right to vandalize someone's home? Who gave you the right to instigate riots in Raghunathganj? Accounts will be taken of all this.
The TMC chief said that there is a 'Lakshman Rekha', but the BJP is crossing all limits. The BJP will lose power across the country in its attempt to destroy West Bengal, and this will happen to them. She also said that she would unite opposition parties to challenge the BJP in Delhi, indicating that the confrontation in national politics may intensify in the coming time.
The state chief minister said, "My people also celebrate Ram Navami, Durga Puja, Kali Puja, Chhath Puja, Christmas, and Eid. We celebrate with people of all religions and castes, whether they are Hindus, Muslims, Christians, Sikhs, or Parsis. We respect everyone." Mamata Banerjee also questioned the Election Commission, alleging that names are being deleted during the special summary revision (SSR) of the voter list, which is being done at the behest of the BJP. She warned that everything has a limit, but the BJP has crossed all limits.
