BJP's CM is a criminal as soon as he takes oath: CPI

Awaz E Bihar•29 April 2026 at 07:39 pm•18 views•2 min read

Patna, 29 April (ABN) The Communist Party of India (CPI) state secretary Ram Naresh Pandey on Wednesday alleged that since the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) came to power in Bihar, criminals have become uncontrollable and the law and order situation in the state has been deteriorating continuously.

The CPI state secretary, in a statement issued today, said that the unprecedented rise in murder and crime incidents in Bihar has created an atmosphere of fear and terror in the state. The criminals have become so fearless that daylight murders are taking place. Referring to recent criminal incidents in various districts, including Bhagalpur, Muzaffarpur, and Patna, he said that this clearly indicates that the fear of law has ended.

Mr. Pandey, citing National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB) statistics, said that Bihar is among the top five states in the country in terms of murder and crime cases and is second in terms of crime rate. He claimed that there has been an 80 percent increase in the number of crimes in Bihar. According to NCRB statistics, there has been a 47.8 percent increase in rape cases since 2005.

The picture emerging from the state is that every day, traders, political activists, lawyers, teachers, and common people are becoming victims of crime. The state capital, Patna, has become the leading district in the state in terms of cases registered under the Arms Act. The CPI state secretary alleged that the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government in the state has failed to maintain law and order.

He expressed deep concern over the rising crime rate and held the government responsible for it, appealing to the people to come forward to fight against the deteriorating law and order situation.
