Patna (Press Release) Our elders respected and protected the common civilization and nurtured the common civilization by showing tolerance. In which there was humanity, brotherhood and harmony. After independence, the importance of these values increased even more. We followed the path of secularism. In fact, secularism will not be successful until there is tolerance in it. These words were said by the well-known scholar Professor Abdul Wahid while addressing a literary gathering organized by Arbab Qalam on the occasion of Independence Day. The topic of this special lecture was "Philosophy of inter-faith tolerance in Urdu poetry". Prof. Abdul Wahid, giving a sermon on this topic, added that tolerance means that you tolerate someone even if you do not agree with him. He said that if this religion is not adopted, Shiraz will be disintegrated. He said that the success of secularism means that Sikhs, Hindus, Muslims or Christians should follow their own religion but give priority to what our constitution says. Speaking as the chief guest, renowned scholar Prof. Safdar Imam Qadri said that Urdu has a capital of almost seven hundred years and in these seven hundred years there is not a single day that we have separated ourselves from this philosophy of tolerance. Like Khusrau, the sentiments of benevolence and tolerance were expressed through his poetry. Tolerance has been our theme since then to the poets of today and despite all kinds of cold and hot views, Urdu has not spent a single day without this attribute. Renowned journalist Dr. Rehan Ghani expressed his views as the guest of honor and said that tolerance has been tolerance in Urdu poetry since the beginning till today. Especially the ancient poets paid a lot of attention to it and among them the Sufis paid more attention. Since Urdu poetry and Urdu flourished in the monasteries, there is great tolerance for Urdu poetry there. He said that I found in my study that among the ancient poets of Phalwari Sharif alone, there are hundreds of poets who have paid much attention to it, but it seems that they wrote poetry with the purpose that this country is a bouquet and to keep this bouquet decorated. He described Indian civilization as a bouquet of different colors and said that it is the great religion of Urdu poets that this bouquet is tied with the strings of tolerance. While presiding over this special program, Professor Sarwar Alam Nadvi, a scholar of Arabic and a well-known teacher of Patna University, said that the one-sidedness, tolerance and mutual trust that upholds human values and traditions is an enviable chapter in the history of India. In the tolerant relations and tolerant mutual life here, this country has established an environment that has influenced various dimensions of science and art. Which includes poetry, prose, painting and music in particular. Behind it is seen the universal vastness of thought which we call nature. Which affected every individual, collective, social, political and economic system. Which is based on justice and humanity while recognizing the superiority of nature. He also presented many examples of communal harmony and tolerance through Urdu poetry. This program was presided over by Dr. Toqeer Alam Toqeer, General Secretary of Arbab Qalam. This event was held at Hafat Manzil Alamganj. Later, the event was organized, which was presided over by the well-known and senior poet Moin Kausar and the duties of the Nizam were jointly performed by Dr. Noman Qaiser and Kazim Raza.
