Patna, July 10, (ABN) Chief Minister Mr. Samrat Choudhary today transferred an amount of Rs 1,423.94 crore to the accounts of 97.84 lakh social security pension beneficiaries through DBT at 'Sankalp' auditorium located at Lok Sevak Awas. This includes the amount for the months of June 2026 in all three state pension schemes and May and June 2026 in all three NSAP pension schemes. The program, held through video conferencing, was attended by social security pension beneficiaries and key personalities, including DMs of all districts.
On this occasion, the Chief Minister announced a major step towards making social security stronger and more effective, declaring that from now on, every 10th of the month will be celebrated as 'Bihar Pension Day'. On this day, it will be ensured that the pension amount reaches the bank accounts of all eligible pensioners in the state through DBT on the 10th of every month.
The Chief Minister said that today, an amount of Rs 1,423.94 crore has been successfully transferred to the bank accounts of 97.84 lakh social security pension beneficiaries in the state through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT). I congratulate all social security pension beneficiaries on this occasion. This is a testament to the government's transparent, accountable, and technology-based public welfare system. He said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi, the dignity and social security of the poor, elderly, disabled, and backward classes have been given top priority. Under the leadership of former Chief Minister Mr. Nitish Kumar, the effective implementation of social security schemes has been ensured in Bihar.
The Chief Minister said that by talking to people on the occasion of Sahayog Shivir programs and 'Panchayat Vikas Divas' program, ensure that no one eligible for social security pension is left out. Run a campaign for this. Get the Aadhaar card linked soon for those who are not linked. Ensure that pension distribution is done in a timely, transparent, and 100% assured manner, so that every eligible citizen can get the benefits of social security with dignity.
The Chief Minister said that the state government's goal is not only to provide financial assistance but also to strengthen the dignity, protection, and self-reliance of every needy citizen. The increase in social security pension from Rs 400 to Rs 1,100 has brought a change in people's lives. The government is committed to the social security of the poor, deprived, and needy classes.
