The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has hit out at Congress leader Rahul Gandhi for calling Prime Minister Narendra Modi a traitor, saying he has repeatedly exposed his true nature and character through his words and speeches.
Union Minister for Commerce and Industry Piyush Goyal, while addressing a press conference at the BJP headquarters on Thursday, said, "Today, I am here to highlight a very important diplomatic tour that Mr. Modi has just completed. The way India has left its mark during the five-day, five-nation tour, the warmth with which the Prime Minister was received in various programs in all five countries, the honor and respect he received from the Indian community, and the three international awards India received, including two from countries and the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) awarded to the Prime Minister, is a matter of pride for every Indian." He said, "This was not just an international tour on the diplomatic and political stage, but it has also produced significant results for India's future. Whether it is related to India's future development strategy, India's economic journey, or enhancing India's capabilities in the coming days, strengthening self-reliance, or ensuring that essential items are easily available to the common people in their daily lives, the tour has been successful in every way."
Meanwhile, targeting Mr. Gandhi, he said that while the whole world looks at India and the Prime Minister with trust, Mr. Gandhi is repeatedly exposing his true nature and character through his words and speeches. He said, "The people of India are repeatedly rejecting him, and he is losing one election after another. The frustration and a kind of desperation that has crept in because of this is clearly visible in his behavior. The way he uses abusive language and makes derogatory remarks about the Prime Minister is condemnable."
During this, the Union Minister said that the way the Congress party and the Gandhi family support terrorists is 'treason'. He asked, "Will enhancing India's prestige at the global level be called 'treason', or will insulting the Indian tricolor abroad be considered 'treason'? He asked whether crushing terrorism, giving a befitting reply to terrorism, is considered treason, or feeding biryani to terrorists or making a deal with them is considered treason? He said that the language Mr. Gandhi uses is called 'curses are the weapon of the weak' in English. He said, "The country is now seeing Mr. Gandhi's weaknesses, the failures of the Gandhi family and the Congress party, as well as the fastest-growing economy in the world under Mr. Modi's leadership and India's prestige at the global level."
He said that the Prime Minister met with more than 50 CEOs of major companies and interacted with them. These include international 'Fortune 500' companies that are leading and managing these corporations. Discussions were held with them regarding further investment, trade, and strengthening relations in India. If we just estimate the market value of the companies represented by the CEOs with whom the Prime Minister spoke, their total value is over $3 trillion.
He said, "Today, the whole world sees India as a reliable partner. Today, the whole world sees India as a preferred global destination. I believe this is not just a coincidence, but a well-thought-out strategy." The Union Minister said, "I believe the Prime Minister is leading the country at a time when there is a lot of uncertainty in the world. Many countries have gone to war. In such a situation, Europe and India are like friends and partners. They are complementary to each other. There is less competition and more partnership between them." BJP National Media Chief Anil Baluni and Co-Media Chief Dr. Sanjay Mayukh were also present during the press conference.
