High-level review of pending cases, decision for early disposal

Patna, Sep 9 (ABN) Home Department Principal Secretary Pankaj Kumar and Bihar Director General of Police (DGP) Vinay Kumar jointly held a high-level review of pending important matters related to the police department in the Home Department on Wednesday. In the meeting, several important decisions were taken regarding the speedy disposal of pending cases and making the police administration more effective. During the review meeting, creation of new posts, development (promotion), establishment of cyber police stations, purchase of vehicles, transfer of land and acquisition of land were considered in detail. The Principal Secretary and DGP directed the concerned officers to deal with these matters as soon as possible. Principal Secretary Pankaj Kumar and DGP Vinay Kumar said that along with expediting disposal of pending cases, effective coordination at various levels is also necessary. For this purpose, it was directed to ensure that a meeting is held with the District Magistrate and the Superintendent of Police once every month from the Home Department and Police Headquarters level. He said that regular review and better coordination at the district level will help in identifying the pending cases and their timely resolution. All concerned officers were directed to perform their duties effectively and not to keep matters pending unnecessarily. In the meeting, Additional Director General of Police (Modernization and SCRB) Ajitabh Kumar, ADG (Rail) Dr. Kamal Kishore Singh, ADG (Traffic and Special Surveillance Unit) Sidhanshu Kumar, ADG (Technical Services and Wireless) Amit Lodha, ADG (ATS) Amrit Raj, ADG (Security) Sanjay Singh, ADG (Peace and Law and Weaker Sections Division) Ms. K. Suhata Anupam, IG (Headquarters) Manoj Kumar and other senior officers of the Home Department and Police Headquarters were present. Apart from this, Special Secretary Home Department Anil Kumar Chaudhary, Additional Secretary Kandan Kumar, Joint Secretary Kamal Nain, Joint Secretary Amlindu Kumar and Special Duty Officer Aditya Kumar Jha also attended the meeting.
