The turmoil in Bihar politics over the past two months is now entering its final stage, as a series of meetings at the Chief Minister's residence continues. Another crucial meeting is scheduled to take place at the Chief Minister's residence on Sunday, which will be attended by Union Minister Lalan Singh. All JD(U) and BJP MLAs have been summoned to Patna. Today's meeting will be attended by several senior JD(U) leaders, and Union Minister Lalan Singh is also arriving in Patna to attend the meeting.

On Saturday, senior BJP leaders also held a meeting in Delhi. Nitish Kumar held a meeting with JD(U) leaders at the Chief Minister's residence on Friday. On the second day of the meeting, Nitish Kumar vacated the Chief Minister's residence at 1 Anne Marg and moved to 7 Circular Road. Since then, discussions about a new Chief Minister and his resignation have gained momentum.

Sushil Modi arrived at the Chief Minister's residence for the second time on Sunday morning, after a 12-hour gap. According to sources, the two leaders are holding crucial talks regarding the formation of a new government and the face of the Chief Minister. Amit Shah, Vinod Tawde, and other senior party leaders held a meeting in Delhi on Saturday. The meeting between Sushil Modi and Nitish Kumar, following the meeting in Delhi, is being considered highly significant, as it may soon reveal a clear picture of the shape and leadership of the new government in Bihar.

The series of meetings and discussions indicate that the political situation will become clearer in the next two to three days. Both Deputy Chief Ministers of Bihar arrived at the Chief Minister's residence on Saturday evening, accompanied by Minister Lakhendra Paswan. After a 30-minute meeting, the leaders hinted that the situation would be clear soon and the future government would be formed under Nitish Kumar's leadership. Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sinha also returned to Lok Bhavan after the meeting, where he held discussions with officials for about half an hour. JD(U) acting president Sanjay Jha and Minister Vijay Choudhary also met the Chief Minister to discuss the structure of the new cabinet and the inclusion of young faces.

According to sources, an important meeting is expected to take place at the Chief Minister's residence today, where discussions will be held on the possible expansion of the cabinet, the number of ministers, and the allocation of departments, and a final decision on these matters may be taken in the next two days. Additionally, MLAs from both JD(U) and BJP have been directed to remain present in Patna. Those who have not yet arrived have been asked to reach the capital soon. The arrival of MLAs in Patna is expected to continue today.

There is a buzz in political circles that the last meeting of the current government's cabinet may take place on April 13. It is expected that Chief Minister Nitish Kumar will submit his resignation to the Governor on the next day, April 14. Immediately after the resignation, a meeting of the NDA legislative party will be called, where a new leader will be formally elected and a claim to form the government will be made.

Nitish Kumar took oath as a member of the Rajya Sabha on April 10. Vice President C P Radhakrishnan administered the oath. With this, Nitish Kumar has joined the select group of leaders who have served as members of all four houses: Lok Sabha, Rajya Sabha, Bihar Legislative Assembly, and Legislative Council.
