Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) captain Ajinkya Rahane has said on the question of Cameron Green not bowling that ask Cricket Australia (CA) why he is not bowling. Green has not bowled since the T20 World Cup. On Monday, CA issued a statement saying Green is recovering from a minor lower back injury and his return to bowling timeline was conveyed to KKR before the IPL. A CA spokesperson said, "Cameron has a lower back injury, which is being treated. He will have to stay away from bowling for some time. He is gradually increasing his bowling workload in India, so that he can return in about 10-12 days. KKR has been informed about this and they are fully aware of it." It is worth noting that Green did not bowl in competitive cricket for 12 months from September 2024 to October 2025, as he had undergone surgery for a 'stress fracture' in his back. Kolkata Knight Riders have bought Green for 25.20 crore rupees.
