August 15 deadline to provide settlement documents to 30,000 landless families, directives to immediately resolve pending cases
Patna, August 6: Bihar Revenue and Land Reforms Minister Dr. Dilip Kumar Jaiswal has warned officials that any kind of negligence, delay, or violation of rules in revenue-related work will not be tolerated. He clarified that government services are completely online, so if a complaint is received about working offline at any level, strict departmental action will be taken against the concerned officer.
While presiding over a review meeting with all Additional Collectors, DCLR, and Circle Officers of the state through video conferencing on Thursday, the Minister took a detailed review of the progress of online entry and exit, Premarjan Plus, E-Mapi, Abhiyan Basera-2, Revenue Maha Abhiyan, public grievances, and cases pending under RCMS. He directed the districts lagging behind the target to dispose of all pending cases within the stipulated time frame.
Dr. Jaiswal said that the settlement of all cases should be ensured according to the "First In, First Out (FIFO)" principle and all pending cases at the DCLR level should be disposed of within a week. He directed the officers to speed up the process of checking applications (defect check) so that timely services can be provided to the public.
The Minister stated that under Abhiyan Basera-2, the target has been set to provide residential land settlement documents to 30,000 landless families by August 15. He directed all districts to ensure the timely completion of this target in coordination with each other.
He announced that the department's performance will be reviewed again after 15 days, and by then, all districts will have to reduce pending cases significantly and improve the disposal rate. The meeting was attended by senior officials of the department, including Secretaries Seema Tripathi, Jai Singh, Additional Secretary Dr. Mahendra Pal, Ajoy Vats Raj, and Joint Secretary Girdhari Lal, among others.
