Meanwhile, BJP MLA Shyam Babu Yadav stood up and said that the protesters at Dak Bungalow crossing were not students but goons. He loudly said that he and his security personnel were attacked and their lives were also in danger. He alleged that the people involved in the protest were goons from various political parties, not students. Supporting his statement, MLA Prem Kumar also started speaking on the matter.
